Concept: a centralized gym sited in a close radius of several treatment nonprofits, similar to how a hospital would be sited with a state certificate of need. This gym is a functioning gym for the public but it also has recovery classes for those nonprofits as that is built into their programming. It provides a place to get physically healthier through group class programmed exercises with a coach, who can give references for participants for jobs as to if they are coachable, cooperative etc. Physical strength to be able to perform on a job. Socialization with others in their program, other nonprofits, and as they complete treatment it provides a stability place for relationships outside of addiction with classes with those not in recovery programs. Donations are being accepted to help start this pilot project to provide for the nonprofit participants to start. The nonprofits will contribute as their exercise program gets established. All exercises are modifiable for any ability. When a participant finishes treatment, there will be a sliding scale rate available for them to continue their new healthy habit in place of their substance use, and continuing social continuity for them through gym and physical movement support. Physical movement has been shown to help with grief, depression and triggers naturally occurring dopamine and will enhance recovery efforts by the individual.
